Release Date: Sep 15th, 2026

1. Overview

Version 2.15.0 expands BrightStudio with custom agent creation and sharing, hardens Slack for production-scale use, and rounds out Projects with full BrightAgent integration.

Highlights include:

  • BrightStudio Expansion: create, configure, and deploy custom AI agents, then share or collaborate on them with others.

  • Production Hardening: Slack integration scaled for secure, multi-tenant, production traffic.

  • Projects Reaches v1: full BrightAgent integration inside a project's context.

2. Key Enhancements and Fixes

BrightStudio

  • Custom agents reach full delivery — users can create, configure, and deploy custom AI agents entirely inside BrightStudio.

  • Support for multiple LLM models when configuring a custom agent.

  • Investigated and implemented subagent architecture for more advanced agent configurations.

  • Agent conversations can now be shared via link.

  • Custom agents can be published to a shared "My Agents" page.

  • A new external guest role lets invited users interact with a shared agent without needing full workspace access.

Projects

  • Projects reaches v1 with full BrightAgent integration.

  • Users can now interact with agents directly inside a project's context, with a polished interaction UI.

Slack Integration

  • Hardened for production scale: rate limiting, autoscaling, and monitoring.

  • Per-workspace authentication for secure multi-tenant access.

  • End-to-end request tracing from a Slack message all the way to the agent's response.

Data Quality

  • Quality check agent reliability improvements, including better retry and error handling.

  • New Quality Check tab with clearer status visibility.

  • Retrieval agent refactored with inline evaluation and auto-save.

Fixes

  • BrightAgent can now auto-reconnect if a stream connection drops.

  • Removed unnecessary internal path exposure from an API, a security hardening fix.

About Brighthive

Brighthive is an agentic data platform that functions as a data team in a box — a coordinated set of specialized AI agents (BrightAgent) that work the full data lifecycle around the clock: connecting to your sources, cleaning and validating data, enforcing governance and data contracts, and keeping pipelines self-healing and live. Underneath every workspace, Brighthive builds and maintains a living knowledge graph and enterprise data catalog — capturing not just schemas and metadata but the tribal knowledge about your business, use cases, and policies that normally lives only in people's heads. That context is what lets the platform, and every downstream tool, reason accurately about your data instead of guessing. The result: every team inside the enterprise gets to skip the grunt work and go straight to trustworthy, self-service insight — querying, visualizing, and analyzing data faster, on a foundation that's clean and governed by default. Brighthive connects to your existing data stack or stands one up from scratch, augmenting or replacing point tools without disrupting how your team already works.
