1. Overview
We are excited to announce the release of Version 2.3 of the Brighthive platform. Brighthive continues to enhance enterprise-focused data environments with a suite of intelligent data agents working together as your full data team to accelerate time to insight.
This release includes 25+ work items across bug fixes, platform enhancements, and new features, focusing on performance optimization, feature enhancements, and self-service capabilities.
Highlights of this release include:
Critical Bug Fixes: Resolved major issues including DBT agent recursion, deployment errors, caching bugs, CORS issues, login problems, and frontend stability concerns.
Backend & Performance Optimizations: Improved DBT and Redshift performance, cache persistence (Apollo3), and error handling across global and session levels.
Feature Enhancements:
Upgraded BrightAgent with better retrieval messages, SQL visibility, and stream handling.
Enhanced data catalog search functionality.
Introduced trial flow improvements, in-app product tours, and better onboarding.
DevOps & Configuration Updates: Improved retry mechanisms, secrets management, and environment cleanup (e.g., workspace deactivation).
Self-Service Upgrades: Implemented trial signup flow (Phase 1), added trial period notifications, and fixed missing banners.
2. Bug Fixes
CodeReview Recursion Fix: Resolved infinite recursion issue in DBT agent during code review and editing.
Improper Context Call: Fixed get_config outside runnable context error in retrieval agent.
Deployment Errors: Addressed Python dependency issues preventing successful deployment.
CORS Issue: Fixed Cross-Origin Resource Sharing issue when calling createUser endpoint from frontend.
Login Issue: Corrected incorrect user data caching that persisted across sessions.
400 Bad Request – BrightAgent: Investigated and resolved malformed request issue from frontend.
Empty Transformation Header Bug: Fixed UI bug where empty results showed only headers.
Data Viz Agent State Fix: Resolved issue causing data visualization to get stuck after the first render.
Cache Response Fix: Reinforced cache layer handling for data asset queries.
Cookie API Endpoint Debug: Debugged and fixed issues with new cookie-based API endpoint.
