1. Overview

We’re excited to announce the release of Version 2.5.0 of the Brighthive platform. This release brings major upgrades to BrightAgent, governance, visualization, and self-service, along with key fixes to improve stability and user experience.

Highlights include:

• Omni BrightAgent: Embedded across catalog and projects for easier access.

• Governance Agent Integration: Quality Agent now fully connected in the frontend.

• Visualization Enhancements: More customization for charts, including axis control, multiple metrics, and color options.

• Self-Service Enhancements: Phase 2 rollout of frictionless trial signup.

• Catalog Improvements: Richer source/connection details, ability to delete assets, and warehouse table names shown in views.

• Platform Stability: Fixes for Airbyte source spec errors, login session handling, and BrightAgent timeouts.

• Warehouse Integration: Warehouse creation now automatically links to OpenMetadata.

2. Key Enhancements and Fixes

BrightAgent Upgrades

• Handled large context-length scenarios caused by numerous data assets and columns. BrightAgent now supports workspaces with over 100 data assets and more than 100 columns per data asset.

• Continued development of Quality Agent functionality within BrightAgent for improved governance support.

Governance Agent (Quality Agent)

• Introduced governance-focused capabilities within BrightAgent to simplify compliance and oversight.

• The Quality Agent now allows you to check your data quality in one step, making governance and quality assurance more efficient.

Visualization Improvements

• Implemented requested enhancements to the Visualization Agent to improve user clarity and data rendering.

• Added support for multivariate visualizations and made charts exportable and editable.

Engineering Agent Enhancements

• Improved authentication and user flow with GitHub integration.

• Enabled building data models on top of reference models.

Self-Service Capabilities

• Launched Phase 1 of the self-service trial signup flow, enabling new users to onboard with less friction.

BrightAgent Retrieval Agent

• Introduced human-in-the-loop data asset selection, allowing users to specify which assets are used for retrieval.

Data Catalog & Search Enhancements

• Enhanced the data asset search and retrieval mechanisms for better performance and scalability.

• Ensured large OMD schemas appear consistently in the web application.
